So I’ve reached Boston.
There are already some photos up on my Flickr account of the plane and San Francisco.
We left Sydney on time, all seven pieces of luggage, three handbags and three people. Jessi and I had an empty seat between us. It made it much more comfortable and convenient. United’s kids meals suck badly. They don’t give kids any choice and the dessert was identical for both kids and adults so since it was this creamy cake Jessi didn’t want it.
We got into San Francisco and got to the hotel – the Quality Suites in Millbrae. The location was convenient – close to the airport and a BART station but they didn’t have a porter and breakfast wasn’t good.
Jessi and I spent the afternoon in San Francsico. We caught the BART to Powell St and had a quick look around before catching the cable car (Jessi and I were both standees) to Fisherman’s wharf. I love clam chowder in a sour bread roll but Jessi wasn’t too immpressed. She did enjoy a plain sour dough roll.
We then walked around to Ghirardelli Square and had some afternoon tea at the Chocolate Company. I had a banana split and Jessi had a hot fudge sundae without cream. Now that was popular.
Next day we caught another plane to Boston – got in an hour late for various reasons – to find it was raining and there is absolutely no snow on the ground.
